About The Position

This senior-level position inspects work and procedures in an assigned area and maintains accurate documentation concerning conformance with codes and procedures to ensure quality standards are met. The role uses knowledge of industry processes and codes to inspect work, schedules tests and inspections, and documents results and conformance in a timely, organized manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and five years of related work experience, or an equivalent education substitution of 9–12 years of related work experience.
• Advanced understanding of mechanical equipment, fabrication piping, and vessel components.
• Advanced comprehension of wiring and piping schematics.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Working knowledge of arithmetic and algebra, and basic knowledge of geometry and other mathematical applications.
• Advanced knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational or technical training in a related field.
• Intermediate knowledge of welding, modern engines, and compressors used in the natural gas industry.

Responsibilities

• Use knowledge of industry processes and codes to ensure quality standards are met.
• Read and understand basic drawings, codes, and procedures to inspect for conformance.
• Inspect completed and in-process work, including procedures used within the facility.
• Schedule tests and inspections.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and detailed documentation in a timely manner.
