About The Position

Gulfstream is seeking a Senior Quality Control Analyst for its Return to Service (RTS) department. This role is crucial for ensuring aircraft airworthiness by overseeing RTS processes, preparing and approving aircraft documentation, and coordinating with various teams. The analyst will act as a key point of contact for customers and regulatory bodies, ensuring the accuracy and security of all aircraft records. This position also involves training and mentoring junior analysts and contributing to the continuous improvement of QC documentation processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6 years of airworthiness experience (14 CFR Parts 23, 25, 27, 29, 33 and/or 91, 121, 125, 135, 145) or military aviation maintenance experience
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, Advisory Circulars, FAA documentation, and aircraft records
  • Proven expertise in aircraft logbooks, maintenance entries, and work order documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to support internal teams and external customers
  • General knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, Advisory Circulars, FAA forms and documents, as well as any foreign authority documentation.
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft logbooks and maintenance entries including proper aircraft work order documentation.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Return to Service (RTS) processes to ensure aircraft airworthiness in compliance with FARs and company policies
  • Prepare, review, and approve aircraft documentation including logbook entries, FAA Form 337s, and foreign authority documentation
  • Coordinate documentation workflows with QC Analysts and Inspection teams to support efficient RTS activities
  • Partner with Engineering Certification and FAA on STCs, AFM Supplements, and field approvals
  • Serve as a focal point for inspection teams and cross-functional departments on technical data and compliance requirements
  • Support Special Flight Permits, Airworthiness Certificates, and Export Certificates
  • Act as primary point of contact for customers post-departure regarding maintenance documentation and compliance
  • Ensure security and accuracy of all aircraft records
  • Train and mentor QC Analysts and QC Analyst Assistants on processes and FAA regulatory requirements
  • Identify documentation gaps, research historical records, and resolve discrepancies impacting compliance
  • Support continuous improvement of QC documentation processes and standards
  • Prepares and schedules aircraft documentation with the QC Analysts and Inspection team.
  • Reviews all documents and work orders prior to return to service of the aircraft and ensures aircraft returns to service in accordance with current FARs and company policy .
  • Oversees, develops and implements documents for QC utilization .
  • Coordinates new STCs, Aircraft Flight Manual Supplements and FAA Form 337 field approval of avionics and mechanical installations with Engineering Certification group and the FAA .
  • Assists with the activity of Special Flight Permits, Standard Airworthiness certificates, Export certificates, etc .
  • Focal point for the Inspection team. Assures technical data for CMP, Engineering, Technical Services, Avionics and other Service Center oriented departments .
  • Focal point for customers after departure for questions pertaining to the work scope of the maintenance visit on compliance, research, and documentation .
  • Assists customers with all activities relating to previous and present maintenance performed on aircraft .
  • Focal point in office to notify and work with QC Management when foreign authoritys modification approval is required.
  • Assures security of aircraft records in our possession .
  • Attends any required. meetings as delegated by Supervisor and identifies critical path issues for Return to Service .
  • Primary trainer for QC Analyst Assistants and QC Analyst .
  • Performs any other tasks/duties as assigned by Supervisors .
  • Mentors peers on FAA regulation requirements for work in process .
  • Researches for compliance from past history and problem solves shortages on documentation .
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
