About The Position

The QC Associate will be responsible for the organization of the QC work queue as well as facilitating the movement of all new orders of loose gemstones and jewelry items received from external vendors and from internal manufacturing. This role requires an understanding of working with a sense of urgency when handling high value jewelry, hard deadline orders and customer escalations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in jewelry, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the systematic movement of all incoming orders staged for quality inspection.
Maintain organization of QC work queue by filing all categories by date order.
Responsible for searching for late orders, hard deadlines or marked orders.
Responsible for maintaining the inventory levels of all QC supplies.
Assist management with daily distribution of orders based on changing priorities.
Assist with testing diamonds for confirmation of natural origin or lab grown.
Facilitate the movement of completed work for hand off to Fulfillment ensuring all late and current day orders are expedited.
Responsible for separation of high value orders for management distribution.
Responsible for the processing of returns including the evaluation of the merchandise for quality and adherence to the terms of the return policy.
Maintain accurate records of quality control activities.
Perform gemological testing and assist with special projects as needed.
Support QC operations for processing reverse logistics orders as needed.
Responsible for opening and closing activities for QC areas.
