About The Position

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor and Lead, this Part-Time (Seasonal) position is responsible for monitoring and ensuring quality control for all garments produced. This includes communicating with team members when garments are imperfect, folding, tagging, labeling, boxing, counting garments, recording styles and quantities, and preparing them for shipping. Lakeshirts is one of the largest screenprinting manufacturers in the U.S., decorating a variety of garments and accessories for the resort, licensed collegiate, and K-12 markets, supported by over 1,000 team members. Requirements

  • Basic computer experience required-excel, word, tablet
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Must be reliable, responsible and take direction well
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for several hours
  • Ability to be stand for 8-10 hours a day
  • Must be able to efficiently lift 30-50 pound boxes
  • Employee must be able to see and hear, read and write
  • Requires adaptability, analyzing, assessing, calculating, decision making, dependability, judgment, reading, speaking, following direction, handling multiple priorities, reasoning

Nice To Haves

  • Sewing Experience preferred
  • High school education desirable
  • Previous production experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inspect all high post production garments for correct ink/thread colors, proper logo placement, labels and general flaws
  • Maintain Lakeshirts acceptable standard of quality per garment
  • Sort, count and fold garments by size/color/garment style and prepare them for shipping
  • Read and understand work orders and profiles to ensure each account is processed correctly
  • Keep work area clean and orderly
  • Organize work flow
  • Follow safety practices. Identifies problems and works to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards
  • Work actively with others to get the job done
  • Use computer programs, such as excel, to access order profile and be able to understand the steps required for each garment
  • Sewing machine experience, sewing labels on garments
  • Other duties as assigned
