About The Position

The Quality Compliance Supervisor will assist with the evaluation, understanding, and development of plans to comply with customer requirements. This role involves creating metrics to monitor compliance, supporting the Compliance Manager in audits and CAPA closure, and serving as a technical liaison for the facility's SPC program. The supervisor will partner with Quality Systems on supplier approval, ingredient requirements, and hazard analysis, and act as a secondary quality resource for sanitary design and change control. Additionally, the role includes facilitating internal auditing, conducting training, managing compliance schedules, and ensuring HACCP and Food Safety Plans are up-to-date. The supervisor will also support the integration of customer and compliance requirements into internal specifications, provide support to the Quality Assurance department as needed, and serve as a backup for the Compliance Manager.

  • 2 or more years of supervisory leadership experience is required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in product compliance and/or commercialization in the food industry, product development or similar discipline, in a related environment.
  • Familiar with state and federal food processing regulations.
  • Must be accurate and detail oriented.
  • Excel (conditional formatting, formulas, drop downs, trend charting, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and at times independently.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP preferred
  • SQF or ISO certification a plus.
  • ISO, ASQ and/or SQF/BRC certification preferred.
  • HACCP and PCQI Certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the evaluation, understanding, and development of plans to comply with customer requirements.
  • Create metrics to monitor compliance to customer and agency requirements.
  • Support the Compliance Manager with presenting information in all customer and 3rd party audits.
  • Assist in supporting audit related CAPA (Corrective Action Preventive Action) to closure.
  • Serve as technical liaison/leader for the facility to maintain all aspects of the SPC program ensuring that finished product is set up and run in compliance with customer or internal specifications.
  • Partner with Quality Systems on supplier approval, incoming ingredient requirements, and ingredient hazard analysis.
  • Act as secondary quality resource and coordinator on sanitary design & change control activities.
  • Assist in facilitating internal auditing processes & maintain/perform training on departmental-specific policies, procedures and programs.
  • Assist with managing compliance schedules with all departments.
  • Support Compliance Manager to ensure all HACCP and Food Safety Plans are up to date, verified, and validated.
  • Support Compliance Manager and commercialization teams in integrating customer and compliance requirements into internal specifications.
  • Support Quality Assurance department as necessary, in other areas.
  • Serve as a backup for the Compliance Manager if needed during his/her absence.
