About The Position

The Quality Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, reviewing, and recommending policies and practices, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role ensures that SnackCraft practices are being followed, and we stay compliant with regulatory, customer and internal requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Biology, Microbiology, or similar degree (Preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in development, maintenance, auditing, and continuous improvement of food safety systems
  • Internal Auditor Certified (GFSI Scope)
  • PCQI Certified
  • HACCP Certified
  • Knowledge of BRCGS audit schemes
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance systems.
  • Comprehensive practices, procedures and techniques involved in food manufacturing
  • Comprehensive proper food analysis lab testing techniques and procedures
  • Uses proper lifting techniques
  • Comprehensive in general mathematic calculations
  • Comprehensive record-keeping procedures
  • Strong computer and Microsoft office abilities
  • Knowledge of SharePoint systems
  • Effective communication in English language

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance systems and procedures.
  • Ensure all quality control processes are in place and function effectively.
  • Establish, review and update policies and procedures as needed.
  • Maintain document control and registries for the facility.
  • Assure 100% HACCP compliance with CCP/PC procedures and documentation.
  • Maintain excellence in food safety and quality of the product through education, familiarity with policy and products, and instruction to all plant personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, including FDA, USDA, and local health department requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments to compliance programs.
  • Prepare for and manage external audits and inspections.
  • Maintain certifications related to food safety and quality for customers (BRCGS, Organic, Non-GMO, GFCO, etc.).
  • Maintain Document Control for all documentation related to food safety and quality.
  • Perform or assign routine reviews of SOP, SSOP, Policy and other documents to ensure programs remains current and accurate.
  • Ensure routine inspections, audits and reviews are performed within the expected due dates and follow-up actions are assigned and completed.
  • Plans, leads and closes all internal and external audits, including overseeing development and execution of corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Document audit findings and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Lead scheduling and tracking of training related to food safety and quality.
  • Train plant staff on quality assurance procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff knowledge and compliance.
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the plant.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality assurance activities.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
  • Ensure all records are compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve quality processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements.
  • Follow and enforce all OSHA Safety Regulation and Safety Rules.
  • Work towards and support a culture of continuous improvement and work to make business and department improvements wherever possible.
  • Responsible for following all food safety policies, procedures and regulatory criteria including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
