About The Position

The Quality & Commissioning (QCx) Owner’s Representative Project Manager leads the owner’s Quality and Commissioning program on site at a hyperscale data center project in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area. The role serves as the owner’s single point of contact for quality and commissioning and works with the client’s data center construction and operations teams and the general contractor to establish a quality culture that supports timely delivery of a high-quality facility. This is a management and oversight role: the Project Manager directs and holds accountable the commissioning agent and quality teams rather than performing field testing. The position implements the client’s QCx program in accordance with program initiatives and guidance from the QCx Program Manager; oversees commissioning agent and quality assurance team performance; reviews quality and commissioning plans; manages testing, inspections, checklists, functional testing, issue resolution, metrics, reporting, change control, and program compliance; and coordinates QCx resources and commissioning work with the project schedule. The role also supports field engineering, BIM coordination, RFIs, submittals, preconstruction reviews, integrator requirements, punch lists, stage gate reviews, closeout, and the client’s end-to-end quality team. The position is based on site at the project and is tied to its duration. Relocation assistance or per diem may be available for qualified candidates who live outside commuting distance. Flexible work hours are expected, averaging 50 hours per week or as needed. The role reports to the Senior Project Manager and secondarily to the Chief Operating Officer.
