About The Position

Primary duties include testing, calibrating, maintaining, supplying, and repairing analytical equipment for conformance to established standards. Secondary duties include process improvement projects and back-up of Compliance Team as assigned. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Pay: $22.00 - $26.00. A pre-employment drug test and a background check are required if offered the position.

Minimum of a 4-year degree related to Quality/Engineering/Technology/Management.
Ability to: stand for 50% of work time; walk and use stairs for 25% of work time; and sit for 25% of work time.
Ability to: reach above shoulders 30% of work time; and lift up to 25 pounds or less 30% of work time.
Ability to: see clearly at 20 inches or less; and distinguish colors.

Nice To Haves

Strong Excel skills are preferred.
May be required to work some overtime.

Responsibilities

Perform calibration, preventative maintenance and supply critical test equipment in Production, QA and Technical Service including, but not limited to: Analytical Balances, Barcode Verifiers, COF Testers, Tensile Testers, FTIR Spectrometer, Gages/Calipers/Rulers, Spectrodensitometers, Gas Chromatography, Lab Heat Sealers, Oxtran, Text/Copy Verification Equipment, Treatment/Dyne Test Tools.
Accumulate, organize, enter, analyze and file calibration/verification data to meet all requirements of ISO9001 and SQF Food Safety and Quality.
Work with Quality, Technical Services, Production, IT, and Equipment Manufacturers to troubleshoot and repair test equipment as needed.
Maintain supplies in both Quality and Technical Services Labs.
Backup Quality Assurance Technicians as needed.
Backup Quality Compliance Team as needed.
Maintain existing Test Method procedures and document new ones as needed.
Assist Sales, Production, Quality and Technical Services with resolution of quality issues.
Process customer returns verifying job number, item and quantity.
Follow proper disposal, handling, and labeling of spent solvents, waste inks, and other designated waste products.
May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
