About The Position

Primary duties include testing, calibrating, maintaining, supplying, and repairing analytical equipment for conformance to established standards. Secondary duties include process improvement projects and back-up of Compliance Team as assigned. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Pay: $22.00 - $26.00. A pre-employment drug test and a background check are required if offered the position.

  • Minimum of a 4-year degree related to Quality/Engineering/Technology/Management.
  • Ability to: stand for 50% of work time; walk and use stairs for 25% of work time; and sit for 25% of work time.
  • Ability to: reach above shoulders 30% of work time; and lift up to 25 pounds or less 30% of work time.
  • Ability to: see clearly at 20 inches or less; and distinguish colors.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong Excel skills are preferred.
  • May be required to work some overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, preventative maintenance and supply critical test equipment in Production, QA and Technical Service including, but not limited to: Analytical Balances, Barcode Verifiers, COF Testers, Tensile Testers, FTIR Spectrometer, Gages/Calipers/Rulers, Spectrodensitometers, Gas Chromatography, Lab Heat Sealers, Oxtran, Text/Copy Verification Equipment, Treatment/Dyne Test Tools.
  • Accumulate, organize, enter, analyze and file calibration/verification data to meet all requirements of ISO9001 and SQF Food Safety and Quality.
  • Work with Quality, Technical Services, Production, IT, and Equipment Manufacturers to troubleshoot and repair test equipment as needed.
  • Maintain supplies in both Quality and Technical Services Labs.
  • Backup Quality Assurance Technicians as needed.
  • Backup Quality Compliance Team as needed.
  • Maintain existing Test Method procedures and document new ones as needed.
  • Assist Sales, Production, Quality and Technical Services with resolution of quality issues.
  • Process customer returns verifying job number, item and quantity.
  • Follow proper disposal, handling, and labeling of spent solvents, waste inks, and other designated waste products.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
