About The Position

As a Quality Automation Engineer at Infotech, you will help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of products used by state transportation agencies, contractors, and local governments. You will join a fast-paced development team and own testing practices, from automation frameworks to standards that shape how the engineering organization approaches quality. The role involves collaborating with engineers and product managers early in development to define acceptance criteria and build for testability. You will support a shift-left testing culture, help developers add automated checks earlier in the pull request cycle, and contribute to QA standards and testing guidelines across engineering. You will also explore how AI tools and new techniques can improve software delivery. This position is open to fully remote candidates working within the United States. It requires up to 10% travel and may occasionally require after-hours work. The position is not eligible for sponsorship, and a resume is required.

  • Improve test execution speed through parallelization and containerization, and proactively manage flaky tests.
  • Create, maintain, and run functional, regression, API, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
  • Analyze build failures, distinguish framework issues from product bugs, and track defects through resolution.
  • Expand test coverage to non-functional requirements, including performance, load, security, and accessibility.
  • Track quality metrics and test coverage to identify gaps and build confidence in releases.
  • Partner with software engineers and product managers during refinement to define acceptance criteria and build for testability.
