About The Position

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, you will support plant quality programs by auditing processes, reviewing documentation, and verifying that in-process materials, finished products, ingredients, and manufacturing supplies meet established standards. You will support the sample retain program through proper tracking and organization of retained samples, while ensuring accurate documentation and communicating any non-conforming conditions to production and leadership teams.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality or food manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word
  • Strong math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
  • Skilled in interpreting specifications, data, and measurements
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Nice To Haves

  • bachelor’s degree or additional certifications preferred
  • Experience working with quality systems in a manufacturing setting preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety practices, quality standards, and basic microbiological concepts preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform audits of in-process materials, finished goods, ingredients, and manufacturing supplies to ensure compliance with product specifications and food safety standards
  • Review product specifications and compare them to production documentation, including certificate of analysis documentation
  • Identify and communicate non-conforming conditions, including out-of-specification or out-of-code situations, to production and supervision
  • Support investigations into quality deviations and help identify root causes and corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including quality records, deviation reports, and weekly and monthly summaries
  • Input and maintain data in systems to ensure permanent and traceable quality records
  • Verify accuracy of data and documentation prior to escalating concerns
  • Support production teams in resolving quality issues, including auditing operator practices and verifying adherence to procedures
  • Participate in internal audits and support compliance with quality systems and food safety programs
  • Perform additional assignments and projects as needed to support plant quality objectives
