The Quality Auditor will review, analyze, and initiate actions to improve the manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with quality standards and procedures. Under supervision, the role involves inspecting electronic systems, assemblies, subassemblies, components, and parts for conformance to specifications.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates advanced functional skills, which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and lead/guide other employees.
  • Demonstrates detailed functional knowledge of audit techniques and has input to process improvements.
  • Knowledge of all ISO, ESD, and calibration requirements.
  • Knowledge of how to conduct an LPA (layers process audits).
  • Experience with Electronic Assembly: component, schematics, mechanical assembly, surface mount assembly.
  • Experience with Inspection: bare board, components, cable, harness, microscope, measuring tools.
  • Office Skills: Computers and tablets. Office software to include, word-processing, spreadsheets, and presentation packages.
  • Internal certifications such as calibration and ESD.
  • Ability to speak and understand English.

Nice To Haves

  • External certifications such as ISO desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspections of servers, racks, and components to ensure compliance with established reliability and workmanship specifications.
  • Utilize gauges, templates, microscopes, and other manufacturing aids to verify product specifications.
  • Ensure all required process operations are completed on inspected products at Quality stations.
  • Monitor and report quality metrics to meet business needs.
  • Prepare reject reports by identifying necessary follow-up information and notifying involved parties.
  • Assist with the disposition of non-conforming materials and products.
  • Notify appropriate personnel of unusual product defects or process yields falling below acceptable levels.
  • Conduct process audits and assist manufacturing in interpreting quality and workmanship standards.
