POSITION DESCRIPTION: Audits and validates parts in your work area to determine the quality of daily production. Performs electrical, mechanical, and visual inspections on a variety of production raw materials. Completes AQL based on sampling and inspection at work, as required. Indicates acceptance or rejection of received material. Performs daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly audits and then reports findings. Prepares data sheets, inspection reports, "hold" or rejection notices, "material approved label card" and dispositions. Enter and verify parts in the QMS quality monitoring system. Monitors the "rework" of parts. Maintain good communication between related areas. Responsible for keeping your work area clean and orderly (housekeeping). Report accidents or unsafe working conditions to the supervisor/leader immediately. Perform other tasks as required by your supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Vocational or Technical Degree preferred.
  • Preferred experience, not required.
  • Completed Quality University course.
  • Knowledge and interpretation of blueprints.
  • Knowledge of measuring instruments and their use.
  • Handle basic computerized systems.
  • Possess basic communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to stand 100% of the time.
  • Ability to handle buckets, material and/or equipment of 50 lb. or less.
  • Comply with established attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Maintain good work habits.
  • Comply with the standards, practices, and regulations established by Quality, HSE, and Human Resources.
