About The Position
This position is responsible for auditing and documenting incoming and outgoing goods for the Distribution Center. Performs audits / checks at any process in the Distribution Center as deemed necessary by management.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic mathematical skills.
Nice To Haves
- 3 months with FTL at entry level position preferred.
- Previous quality related work experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Inspect stock cartons for quality defects listed on the DC Audit Check sheet.
- Correct cases that have a quality problems and/or communicate with the appropriate associates to ensure issues are corrected.
- Compile daily reports summarizing quality audits and provide to manager / Crewleader.
- Generate weekly reports for DC and department management (may include entering audit data into system).
- May communicate with source plants regarding quality issues and concerns.
- Communicate with department managers and employees on identified quality issue and concerns.
- Complete appropriate quality forms for rejected cases and poor quality work by employees.
- Handle cases and utilize tape guns and cutting knives to open and reseal cases.
- May be required to lift cases of various weights and sizes for auditing purposes.
