About The Position

The Quality Auditor administers and completes various audits and verification related tasks, such as conducting audits, investigations, inspections, and filing reports. The goal is to identify, investigate, inform, and improve processes within the manufacturing facility. This role involves working collaboratively with various departments to ensure compliance with standards like ISO 9001 and to drive process improvements.

Requirements

  • Three years of work in a manufacturing facility (similar in size and scope to NSA) conducting quality assurance tasks is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform operational inspections, investigations, and audits at various stages of operations.
  • Take leadership and responsibility for determining compliance exceptions and opportunities for improvement based on observations, experience, production knowledge, and historical information.
  • Responsible for knowing the order of operations and how each of them works.
  • Work collaboratively with the Production Manager, Production Supervisors, and other key operations and sales personnel to effectively audit processes and administer to process improvements.
  • Notify the Production Manager and Production Supervisors of observed issues (nonconformities, work habits, workflow, organizations, tools, etc.) and ideas to streamline processes.
  • Work with Production Manager and teams to identify, communicate and improve work methods and organization.
  • Conduct internal department audits, as mandated by ISO 9001, to identify areas for improvement within the establishment.
  • Generate and submit the appropriate forms and reports to effectively communicate and document improvement needs detected during investigations, inspections, and audits.
  • Have open communication with the Continuous Improvement Manager regarding problems, issues, and non-conformances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform other tasks, as needed and determined by the Continuous Improvement Manager to promote awareness, improvement, and organization.
  • May be reassigned to assist other departments.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
