Quality Assurance Tester III
About The Position
JST is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Tester III to support our team. The Quality Assurance Tester III is a senior quality assurance professional responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and improving software testing activities to ensure delivery of secure, reliable, and high-quality software releases supporting USAF systems. This position provides advanced testing expertise across the software development lifecycle and serves as a key contributor to software quality strategy, test automation, requirements validation, and release readiness activities. This is a full-time remote position with periodic onsite support and occasional travel. JST offers a complete benefits package, a collaborative work environment, and strong company culture. Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in software testing, quality assurance, test engineering, software validation, or application testing.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Security+, CEH, CFR, GSEC, Cloud+, PenTest+, SSCP, or qualifying degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
- Experience conducting: Functional testing, Integration testing, Regression testing. Security testing, Performance testing, User acceptance support testing
- Experience supporting software development lifecycle activities.
- Experience developing automated testing frameworks and scripts.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
- Experience supporting Agile software development teams.
- Experience supporting CI/CD and DevSecOps environments.
- Experience validating requirements and maintaining traceability documentation.
- Experience supporting cloud-hosted and enterprise business applications.
- Experience coordinating testing activities across multiple releases and environments.
- Experience supporting federal, DoD, or highly regulated systems.
- Ability to obtain & maintain a Secret clearance.
- MUST be able to successfully pass a drug and background check
Nice To Haves
- ISTQB certifications, CSTE, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, ReadyAPI, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub, API testing, test automation, cloud testing, and security testing experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop test plans, strategies, procedures, and test cases
- Conduct functional, integration, regression, security, performance, and end-to-end testing
- Support automated testing frameworks and test automation initiatives
- Validate software requirements and maintain traceability
- Manage discrepancy reports, problem reports, and defect tracking activities
- Support Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD delivery environments
- Coordinate release validation and deployment testing
- Produce testing metrics, reports, and quality assessments
- Collaborate with Requirements Managers, developers, and stakeholders
