About The Position

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Tester 2 with a TS clearance to join our team in the Washington DC area. This role involves designing, developing, and executing functional test cases for Pega applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of system functionality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Requirements

  • 2+ Years of Professional Experience
  • Hands on experience with Pega functional testing tools and QA testing approaches for Pega applications.
  • Strong foundation in Quality Assurance principles, test case development, defect tracking, and regression testing.
  • Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into detailed test scenarios, identifying gaps or ambiguities.
  • Familiarity with Agile/iterative development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly document and articulate defects, risks, and improvement recommendations.
  • Experience working with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).

Nice To Haves

  • Pega certification (CSA, CSSA, or related).
  • Experience with automated testing tools for Pega applications (e.g., PegaUnit, Selenium for Pega UI).
  • Familiarity with Agile-focused testing methodologies across Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid environments
  • Exposure to test automation or hybrid testing frameworks.
  • Experience participating in CI/CD-integrated testing workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute functional test cases for Pega applications, ensuring comprehensive coverage of business workflows.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
  • Validate system functionality against business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring accurate behavior.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, partnering with engineering teams to support timely and thorough resolution.
  • Assist with test planning, including defining test scope, estimating effort, and contributing to test strategy development.
  • Maintain and update test documentation, including regression test suites and functional test artifacts.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and support testing activities across all iterations.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure quality alignment throughout the SDLC.
  • Analyze test results, identify risks, and provide clear, actionable feedback to development and product teams.
