About The Position

The Quality Assurance Technician will assist Quality Engineers in completing validation and PPAP tasks, including First Article Inspection (FAI), performance or functional testing, and report writing. This role involves performing dimensional layouts using hand-measurement tools and CMM, conducting print reviews for new or revised products, and tabulating sample data using statistical programs. The technician will also assist in compiling technical reports, creating and updating process flow diagrams, PFMEA, and control plans, collecting and analyzing product data, supporting corrective action activities, and providing back-up support for Receiving and Final Inspection when required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
  • 2-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment in a QA role
  • 2-3 years of experience in Blueprint reading
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Motivated, organized, and has attention to detail
  • Able to carry at least 35lbs
  • Must be able to sit and type for long periods; bending, reaching, pushing, pulling related to general administrative duties and use of office equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in a technical discipline is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Quality Engineers to complete validation and PPAP tasks including First Article Inspection (FAI), performance or functional testing, and report writing.
  • Perform dimensional layouts using hand-measurement tools and CMM
  • Conduct print reviews for new or revised products (Blueprint Reading)
  • Tabulate sample data utilizing statistical programs.
  • Assist in compiling technical reports and summaries using Microsoft Word or Excel.
  • Create and update process flow diagrams, process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA), and control plans for new or revised products.
  • Collect and analyze product data as directed by Quality Manager or Engineers.
  • Support corrective action activities as needed.
  • Provide back-up support for Receiving and Final Inspection when required.
