About The Position

Nortek Data Center Cooling, a Madison Industries company, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for the 1st shift. This role involves monitoring and facilitating quality inspection activities for in-process parts, sub-assemblies, and Final Assembly Unit completion. The technician will use quality tools and practices to ensure internal and external manufactured parts and assemblies meet quality requirements. Responsibilities include investigating quality-related issues, managing documentation such as inspection records and drawings, and performing data entry. The position also involves assisting with other duties as assigned by the manager and supporting continuous process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Four plus years manufacturing industry experience.
At least 2 years in Quality capacity.
General Computer Skills (Name and Save Files, upload pictures, share files, locate, and retrieve documents).
Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook).
Dependable.
Good Communication Skills - Written and Verbal.

Nice To Haves

Completion of some secondary/trade school technical and/or bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

Verify in-process parts/sub-assemblies/Final Assembly Unit(s) match drawings/specification packet(s).
Review in-process inspection documents for correctness and completeness.
Generate NCM (Non-Conforming Material) reports as needed.
Identify product status as needed to prevent use/shipment of Non-Conforming product.
Capture pictures where required, upload, name and maintain process.
Distribute paperwork/documents where needed.
Scan inspection forms into designated files.
Input inspection results into data base as needed.
Must be able to wear protective gear and equipment.

Other Ad hoc duties as assigned by manager.
