About The Position

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our growing team in West Henrietta, NY. We supply military and commercial industries worldwide with accurate timing technologies and equipment (Time Servers, Inertial Navigation System), as well as ultra-precise timing and frequency distribution for applications requiring a high degree of reliability and accuracy across IP time distribution standards. In this way, we contribute to the performance of critical operations support. Whenever accuracy, safety, security and reliability are critical, the solutions of Safran Electronics & Defense leads the way. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will work closely with the Quality and Production teams to ensure that materials, products, and processes conform to internal quality standards to achieve high customer satisfaction. This position will support the manufacturing of our Timing Products and GNSS Simulation Products.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality assurance or related role, preferably in electronics manufacturing
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and tools (ISO9001)
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
  • Experience in documentation and reporting on Quality Metrics

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality inspections and tests on electronic components and material to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.
  • Conduct root cause analysis investigations for nonconformities with a cross functional group and recommend containment and corrective action(s)
  • Assist with development, implementation, and maintenance of quality control procedures, standards, and work instructions
  • Use various testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and calipers to conduct inspections and tests
  • Document and report on inspection results and Quality KPIs
