About The Position

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Quality Assurance Tech based in Springfield, OR! Grave Shift: Sunday – Wednesday (10:00 PM – 8:30 AM) The Quality Assurance Tech I is responsible for following Danone’s systematic process that helps our products meet federal and state food manufacturing compliance, and customer needs and expectations, in addition to preventing product defects before they arise.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in food science, Biochemistry, or a related field, or Associate’s degree in food science, Biochemistry, or a related field and a minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience, or Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant work experience.
Knowledge of laboratory practices and procedures.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally, communicate clearly, and coordinate efforts around process improvement.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints.

Responsibilities

Conduct micro testing of pasteurized mix, and microbiology and allergen tests of finished good samples for So Delicious Dairy Free plant and Plant 3 samples to ensure compliance.
Verify ingredients and packaging at startup of production lines and throughout the production runs for all products.
Conduct sensory evaluations of all finished goods samples to ensure product quality meets guidelines.
Conduct hourly line checks including metal detector validations and sample collections.
Issue non-conformance holds and dispositions on material and finished product.
Assist in quality assurance data management by documenting testing results on both paper documents and computer files.
Complete document review of QA and production paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
