About The Position

ADM is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician in Spokane, WA. This role involves performing various tests on bakery mixes, maintaining records, calibrating equipment, managing supplies, ensuring a clean and safe working environment, and adhering to industry standards. The technician will also conduct daily process monitoring tests throughout the plant and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with current commercial software applications (Excel, Word)
  • Experience with lab documentation.
  • Baking experience is a plus.
  • Experience with operating standard lab equipment (i.e., pH meter, water activity, Brix, etc.)
  • Demonstrates sufficient math skills to perform calculations associated with lab testing.
  • Previous plant experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform bake tests on dry bakery mixes using mixers, donut fryer, proofing box, and oven.
  • Perform analytical tests on wet bakery mixes using pH, water activity and Brix meters.
  • Maintain on-going records of the results of all testing procedures and input such data into computer on a daily basis.
  • Daily calibration of equipment with standards to ensure equipment is reading accurately.
  • Maintain adequate supplies used for testing procedures and notify the supervisor of the need to re-order such supplies.
  • Maintain a neat and clean working area at all times, washing equipment as required and placing equipment in the proper storage areas.
  • Perform duties in a safe manner, utilizing all approved safety equipment and successfully complete all safety certification requirements.
  • Maintain awareness and adhere to all FDA, GMP, BATF, EPA, OSHA and employer standards and guidelines.
  • Perform daily process monitoring tests throughout the plant as assigned.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with fellow employees.
