About The Position

Performs daily quality testing in the cut-up process of the slaughter facility by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be as assigned. Performs testing using approved procedures. Creates records in a manner that meets quality standards. Reports all important events to Lead and/or Quality Supervisor in a timely manner. Responsible for any and all directives set forth by Senior Quality Management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos written in English.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve mathematical equations involving ruler readings, percentages, averages, rounding, and conversion of grams, pounds and ounces.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to pass the Quality Control math test.
