About The Position

The Quality Assurance Technician will operate scales, verifying that product samples fall within specified ranges, and record data on paper and computer systems. They will observe employees to confirm compliance with safe food handling practices and monitor HACCP documentation to ensure adherence to the HACCP plan. This role requires a strong understanding of GMPs and prior experience in Quality Control.

Requirements

• Knowledge of GMP’s.
• Prior experience in Quality Control.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within our company.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Have a good attendance history – 4 points or less.
• Ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
• Be willing to be cross-trained and learn all tasks in the department.
• Have the ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Know how to effectively manage time to complete all assigned tasks.
• Extended shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform unbiased product quality testing in assigned area.
• Keep an accurate and legible record of all testing completed.
• Ensure product safety and sanitary conditions are always maintained in the processing areas.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
