Become a part of the “strength within.” Hexcel is currently seeking Quality Assurance Technician for our Pottsville, PA, USA location.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent, required.
  • Minimum of six months experience required, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Must be able to pass the Quality Delegate Visual Examination including a Color-Blind test.
  • Experience working with mechanical inspection tools.
  • Reading and Writing Skills including, but not limited to comprehension of Technical Documentation (PO’s, Specifications, Blue Prints, etc.,) and experience developing audit reports and write non-conforming records as required.
  • Eligible candidates must be a: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and sustain source inspection authorization for product that is delivered to customers on source delegation (i.e. SA SSQS, MRAS DSQR, etc.).
  • Quality Technicians will complete the necessary training to maintain their source delegation stamps and approvals.
  • Support on-site customer source inspectors for first article and production products.
  • Support New Product Introduction Process through completion of FAI inspections and working closely with the Quality Engineer to development required Inspection Plans.
  • Perform inspection and certification review for incoming core and PX materials.
  • Monitor the Calibration program and perform mechanical calibrations, coordinate sub-contractor calibration activity, and monitoring of inspection tool calibrations.
