The QA Technician – Syrup plays an important role in supporting Torani's food safety and quality programs within our Syrup manufacturing operation. Working closely with Manufacturing and Quality teams, you'll help execute quality systems, conduct inspections and product evaluations, support Positive Release, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure our processes consistently deliver First Time Quality. Building on your foundational quality knowledge, you'll grow your expertise while helping protect the quality, safety, and integrity of every product we make. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or another technical or scientific discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing or quality environment.
  • Foundational knowledge of food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, and quality systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately review documentation, maintain records, and identify quality concerns.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime and weekends, when business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Execute quality systems within the Syrup manufacturing operation.
  • Conduct inspections and product evaluations.
  • Support Positive Release processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ensure processes consistently deliver First Time Quality.
  • Perform GMP inspections, line checks, and SOP reviews.
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing teams.
  • Perform quality inspections.

  • Keep quality documentation organized, complete, and audit-ready.
  • Ensure quality activities align with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), SQF standards, and Torani's food safety expectations.
  • Identify quality concerns.
  • Investigate routine issues.
  • Recognize trends that deserve further attention.
  • Support customer complaint investigations.
  • Review production records.
  • Evaluate sensory results.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen standard work.
  • Communicate observations clearly.
  • Escalate concerns promptly.
  • Partner with others to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
