Regal Rexnord, a leading supplier in the Aerospace industry, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician II reporting to the Quality Manager. The primary responsibility for this position is to support the operations of a $40 Million business that manufactures mechanical Aerospace components. This individual will provide quality support to the quality personnel to enhance business performance in the areas of mfg. cost, output, safety, and quality improvements. The plant, which is located in Monticello, IN, manufacturers high quality Bearings used for Aerospace applications. Position Summary: Rexnord Industries, LLC, a leading supplier in the Aerospace industry, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to provide support to all departments in Quality related issues in addition to assistance in improving the quality system and supporting quality programs. In this position, you can make immediate contributions in enhancing the current quality program by providing daily support in Quality related issues. This role will motivate, inspire and lead by example while influencing team cohesion and cooperation. Handles quality certification, Material certifications, Customer Certifications, First Article Paperwork, ASL Documentation Portal Updates, Supplier contacts, may Preform Internal Audits, Basic Inspection Measurements. Key Accountabilities Lead daily Material Review Board activities to ensure internal nonconformities are effectively segregated and addressed (i.e: rework, sort, return, scrap, customer deviation, etc.) in a timely manner. Lead daily Material Review Board activities to ensure customer returns (RMAs) are effectively segregated and addressed (i.e: rework, sort, return, scrap, customer deviation, etc.) in a timely manner. Support resulting root cause analysis and corrective actions. Perform calibration of gauging and write calibration procedures. Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • 5+ years of Quality Experience in the Aerospace or Automotive industry with a focus in conventional machining and assembly operations.
  • Solid background in metal manufacturing environment including metal cutting and grinding is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of engineering part drawings and general understanding of metallurgy; ability to understand the physical and mechanical properties of metals as affected by composition, mechanical working and heat treatments.
  • Experience working with quality systems; e.g. ISO9001
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint as well as common ERP systems.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis and formal problem solving techniques internally and externally (Customers/Suppliers)
  • Demonstrated success in the ability to consistently multitask
  • Good verbal, written, and administrative skills, including computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, Minitab, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management
