We are searching for the best talent for Quality Assurance Technician I SECTION 1: JOB SUMMARY This job family group defines and specifies activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for a service or manufactured material, component, or product. Activities include ensuring an environment of continuous improvement; identifying, planning, and implementing organization process improvements to reduce costs, defects/errors, and rework; introducing new methods and processes to improve product/service quality and customer satisfaction; defining and specifying activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for a service or manufactured material, component, or product; auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of processes or outputs, either against defined internal or regulatory standards; reporting on process deviations and defects; identifying and developing outsourcing vendors and suppliers according to organization quality standards and policies; negotiating service level agreements, performance/quality metrics, and ensuring contractual obligations are met; and resolving vendor/supplier problems related to quality, performance, quantity, and timing. SECTION 2: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position: Responsible for in-process and final product quality analyses/inspection in compliance with standards and regulatory requirements, interpreting and evaluating the analyses in terms of accuracy and precision against established specifications. Identifies ongoing quality issues, prevents potential production issues and makes suggestions for improvement. Uses various measuring devices, testing equipment, predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to accept or reject products. Audits, monitors and determines the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards. Tests random samples of finished goods. Reports manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods. Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable. For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures Performs other duties assigned as needed
