About The Position

Jaspen’s Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician with HACCP training to help ensure our products meet the highest standards of food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This role works closely with production and warehouse teams to monitor manufacturing processes, perform quality inspections, verify documentation, and support our SQF food safety system. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable working both on the production floor and with quality documentation.

Requirements

  • HACCP Certification or formal HACCP training
  • 1–3 years experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or food safety
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Ability to identify quality issues and follow proper corrective procedures
  • Comfortable working on the production floor in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills for quality documentation and reporting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an SQF-certified facility
  • Knowledge of allergen control and traceability systems
  • Experience conducting pre-op inspections and sanitation verification
  • Experience supporting food safety or third-party audits
  • Bilingual English / Spanish
  • Candidates with SQF, audit, or strong food safety experience may qualify for higher starting pay.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process quality checks during production
  • Verify product weights, packaging integrity, labeling accuracy, and appearance
  • Conduct finished product inspections prior to release
  • Monitor production to ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and SQF food safety standards
  • Complete quality documentation and batch records accurately and in real time
  • Verify lot codes and traceability records
  • Conduct pre-operational and sanitation inspections
  • Identify, document, and report quality deviations or food safety concerns
  • Work closely with production teams to maintain quality standards
  • Support internal audits and third-party food safety audits
  • Assist with corrective actions and quality investigations when needed
  • Other tasks as assigned
