About The Position

Based in our Sherman, TX, plant, you will work in a dynamic, high-tech production facility. This hands-on leadership role ensures compliance with customer requirements while leading, coaching, and coordinating staff and inspection activities. This role is for 2nd Shift, which works a schedule of Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Maintaining a safe, quality conscious and cost-effective operation. Leading, training, evaluating, and scheduling work for teammates throughout the department holding regular toolbox meetings to discuss performance against targets, problems, and the day's work schedule. Planning and driving the completion of training and development of assigned personnel in support of achieving objectives, including attaining the necessary degree of cross-training. Driving Quality Improvements Initiatives including the promotion and achievement of continuous improvement of cost and lead-time reduction. Ensuring effective team communication to maintain dedication to objectives and hold meetings. Implementing lean manufacturing strategies into assigned area(s) through kaizen events, value stream mapping, and 6 S. You establish and maintain effective customer relationships. You develop others through coaching, feedback, exposure, and stretch assignments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3 years of demonstrated quality assurance experience with understanding of quality assurance standards and processes.
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, team building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate effectively to provide information to all levels of employees in a global organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 3 years of demonstrated supervisory experience in quality or manufacturing.
  • ASQ certification as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
  • Experience in process improvement and documentation in an ISO9001 environment.
  • Supplier Quality Management experience.
