About The Position

This is a hands-on leadership production operation role. The Quality Assurance Supervisor/Foreperson will assist the Quality Assurance Manager in overseeing processes and associates to meet customer, department, and organizational expectations, ensuring compliance with USDA, HIMP, HACCP, GMP, and Company standards. This role involves supervising QA Technicians, assisting with interviewing and training new associates, conducting meetings, and ensuring adherence to USDA, OSHA, and MIOSHA policies.

  • Must be able to and must wear necessary Personal Protective Wear required while performing role: Protective Eye Wear, Ear plugs, Hard Hat, Hair Net, Protective Coat (clothing protector), Forearm protection, Plastics gloves, Cotton gloves, Plastic aprons, And all other required PPE’s.

Responsibilities

  • Meet USDA, HIMP, HACCP, GMP and Company standards and under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager, assist with overseeing the leadership and management of the processes and associates to meet the needs and expectations of customers, department and organization.
  • Supervise the QA Technicians.
  • Assist in interviewing and training new associates.
  • Conduct meetings with associates on changes and other jobs related issues.
  • Ensure that associates are informed and follow the rules, polices and procedures for USDA, OSHA and MIOSHA.
  • Teach associates the importance of working safe and in a team environment.
  • Ensure all SSOP and Quality Programs are being followed correctly and being completed.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationship with U.S.D.A.
  • Provide a resource to operations and sanitation personnel.
  • Complete all records pertaining to Quality Assurance SSOP Program.
  • Perform clerical functions for Quality Assurance (filing, making copies, etc.).
  • Monitor and check freezer/cooler storage areas.
  • Monitor plant AQL levels.
  • Monitor and enforce MTP’s GMP and Safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
