About The Position

The Quality Assurance/Standards Specialist at O'Berry Neuro-Medical Treatment Center functions as a Risk Management Analyst. This managerial role drives patient safety and regulatory compliance by investigating adverse events, analyzing incident trends, facilitating performance improvement teams, and auditing the campus for environmental and rights hazards.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, education, health, business administration or related human service field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in professional level treatment programming for the applicable client population; or Bachelor's degree in one of the fields listed above from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience as indicated above; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of quality assurance program practices; planning and development of assessment tools and techniques to include use of software and reporting mediums (i.e. Root Cause Analysis, the 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and Quality Management Systems such as RL)
  • Ability to develop recommendations to solve problems in different program service areas by assisting in planning goals and developing deficiency resolutions.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying quality standards, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with professional and administrative personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts management investigations and documents adverse events or allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
  • Reviews incident reports to identify trends, prepares reports, and highlights areas for management review.
  • Works with Advocacy and facility management to ensure ADA and EEO compliance; conducts employee/patient safety and environmental hazard audits.
  • Advises the Performance Improvement Department and facilitates Ad Hoc committees and improvement teams assigned by the Center Director.
