About The Position

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Quality team at Vandapower LLC in Austin, Texas. You will report into Laura, our Global Quality Manager, and work closely with quality colleagues in Belgium and the United Kingdom. Your main focus is on internal and external audits: preparing, conducting and following up on audits, and making sure findings turn into lasting improvements. Alongside this, you take ownership of customer complaints, getting to the root cause and driving corrective and preventive actions across the organization. This is a hands-on role for an experienced quality professional who is as comfortable hosting a customer audit as analyzing complaint data or aligning with colleagues across three countries.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar quality assurance role.
  • Proven hands-on experience with internal and external audits, from preparation to follow-up of findings.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems; familiarity with ISO 9001 is a plus.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA methods (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys).
  • Excellent analytical and administrative skills, with an accurate and precise way of working.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with customers and suppliers.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and build close working relationships with colleagues across different countries.
  • A proactive attitude and a strong sense of ownership.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and conduct internal audits of our processes and quality system.
  • Prepare for and host customer audits, and take part in supplier audits.
  • Follow up on audit findings with clear corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and track them to closure.
  • Maintain audit documentation, evidence and records so we are audit-ready at all times.
  • Help keep our quality standards and procedures up to date and correctly applied.
  • Handle customer complaints and quality queries by phone and email, professionally and with empathy.
  • Work with the customer to establish and fully understand the root cause of each complaint.
  • Involve Customer Service, Supply Chain, Sales and Product Management to resolve complaints.
  • Analyze structural problems with customers (historical errors, consignment stock deviations, call-off agreements) and involve management where needed.
  • Take initiative on recurring complaints, moving from corrective to preventive actions.
  • Manage and complete customer and supplier quality documentation.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of the complaints dashboard and most common complaint types.
  • Prepare and present quality results in the monthly quality meetings.
  • Support Product Management administration (HS codes, weights, etc.).

Benefits

  • A role within our Quality team, based in Austin, Texas, with global scope across our Belgian, UK and US entities.
  • A varied position combining audits, complaint handling and continuous improvement.
  • An international working environment with colleagues across multiple countries.
  • Real room to grow: an organization scaling across three countries, with close follow-up and mutual feedback.
  • The possibility to work from home, with flexible hours built around a healthy work-life balance.
  • Regular team events in a close-knit, inclusive and international team.
