About The Position

The Quality Assurance Specialist determines the resources required for quality control. This individual is responsible for maintaining the level of quality throughout the software life cycle, developing software quality assurance and testing plans, participating in formal and informal reviews at predetermined points throughout the development life cycle to determine quality, continuously evaluating the software quality assurance processes and recommending enhancements and modifications when necessary, and ensuring quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
• At least five (5) years of experience working with quality control methods and tools.
• A minimum of three (3) of which must have been on software systems in the public safety sector.
• At least three (3) years of experience in verification and validation, software testing and integration.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Maryland’s regulated firearm and handgun permitting laws preferred.
