Compensation range: $25.50 - $28.00 per hour The base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications. Benefits: 15 days of PTO 9 Paid holidays Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance 401k + Employer Match Paid Parental Leave Wellness App with reimbursement of up to $500 per year Profit Sharing Position Summary Location: San Jose, CA Hours: Early Day shift 5:30 am - 2:00 pm, Monday - Friday The Quality Assurance Specialist works closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to set and maintain quality standards by approving incoming/outgoing materials and recording quality results.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 4+ years previous experience in warehouse operations and quality control; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Reach Truck and order picker required.
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse functions and equipment necessary for warehouse distribution and storage operations
  • Knowledge of basic furniture installation
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow written procedures,
  • Excellent human relations and motivational skills
  • Basic PC skills, ability to learn computer applications used in managing warehouse operations
  • Ability to work mathematical statistics
  • Must be licensed, or be able to be licensed to operate material handling equipment
  • Requires ability to make independent decisions and work with little or no supervision
  • Must be able to work in high stress, deadline driven industry
  • Ability to lift/carry objects up to 75 pounds
  • May stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Work is in a warehouse environment with moving equipment, moderate noise, and changing temperature conditions. May be required to work different shifts and work hours

Responsibilities

  • Inspects incoming furniture/materials and confirms quality guideline specifics. Determines approval, rejection or if warranty work is required.
  • Oversees quality control inspection of outgoing orders to ensure product is in deployable condition and items/quantity matches the order.
  • Documents any discrepancies in quality and enters inspection results into logs/spreadsheets. Determines if items are to be refurbished, liquidated or donated.
  • Coordinates items that require cleaning, repair, etc.
  • Maintains contact with designers and provides updates of items to be refurbished.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, learning from onsite staff, and or quality control courses.
  • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations and company policy.
  • Coordinates with the inventory team whether items are to be brokered, recycled, repaired, or donated.
