About The Position

Their solutions for pre-commissioning, commissioning, and maintenance shutdowns include specialized services for Oil & Gas, chemical, power generation, and other process industries. As a Machinery Diagnostics Field Engineer, the individual will provide complete service solutions to customers for their critical rotating machinery assets, protection, and monitoring systems, including evaluating machinery condition based on rotor dynamic analysis. Requirements

Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering a plus)
Have minimum 2 years of industry experience.
Be available for extensive travel (up to 70%) and significant over-time (paid).
Possess a valid driver's license and passport (or able to obtain a passport).
Be eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential).
Be eligible to travel overseas and/or work on offshore platforms on occasion.

Knowledge of rotating machinery operation and controls systems.
Knowledge of machinery protection and management systems.
Knowledge of or experience with AT LEAST one or more of the following: mechanical vibration, rotating machinery vibration and/or diagnostics, rotodynamic analysis, PdM data acquisition/evaluation, machinery balancing and alignment.
Knowledge of Bently Nevada products and CordantTM services.
Basic familiarity with computer network systems.

Responsibilities

Diagnosing machinery problems based upon vibration data, operational data, and customer communications.
Travel to customer sites to provide supporting service.
Completing timely reports that identify findings and provide recommendations to the customer.
Building relationships with customers to provide a high-level of service delivery, becoming their trusted advisor for their rotating equipment health.
Calculating and overseeing placement of balance weights.
Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures.
