About The Position

The Quality Assurance Specialist will champion quality as a shared core value and use methods that foster exceptional customer satisfaction. The Quality Assurance Specialist will understand the relevance and importance of their activities, recognizing how they contribute to the advancement of shared quality goals while following all company, ISO, quality, and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and quality control
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiar with industry testing tools and equipment
  • Basic math skills
  • Proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software (Loftware, SAP, Google applications, Nice Label, etc.)
  • Using analytical and observation skills demonstrate the ability to set a course or direction, which fulfills the vision and expectations in maintaining the highest level of Quality in the industry.
  • ISO Awareness Course and HAZMAT Training
  • Recognize process gaps/slow downs and be willing to divert to that task for smooth and efficient processing

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand procedures and instructions associated with the Quality Control department
  • Pick up stock orders and filled orders from production
  • Pull stock orders (hard goods and cylinder orders)
  • Collaborate on order flows to maintain reliable delivery timelines
  • Verify the customer PO matches the sales order confirmation
  • Partner with customer service reps if sales order confirmations do not match customer PO
  • Coordinate with production techs if filled cylinders do not match sales order confirmations
  • Verify lot codes on the sales order confirmation match the cylinders
  • Carefully document lot codes on the sales order confirmation for stock items
  • Calibrate H2S sensors and document calibration
  • Test H2S and document the results on the sales order confirmation
  • Pull regulators from stock, set LPM (if required), and label based on customer requirements
  • Thoughtfully and reliably record the appropriate information on the Certificate of Analysis for each lot code/part number, bringing adaptability to various template requirements for different customers/international needs
  • Accurately log lot codes/part numbers into Google Drive spreadsheets when applicable
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work area
  • Notify manager when supplies are needed (regulator tubing, regulator and cylinder stickers, low stock inventory, etc.)
  • Enthusiastic about learning cross-functional skills to support team needs in the QC department as well as all areas of Shipping
  • Support the daily flow to achieve complete, high-quality outcomes
  • Work as a team to enhance collective performance and work stream quality
  • Bring familiarity or comfort working with computers and Google Suites
