As the QA Technician, you will report to the QA Manager and may be under the supervision of a QA Specialist on certain projects or tasks. The QA Technician will complete tasks related to product attribute testing, quality control monitoring, reporting, and ensuring quality of cannabis is within the Peace Naturals Quality Management System (QMS). This position supports in the areas of supplier materials, calibration requirement, monitoring of process control methods and parameters, finished product quality and customer satisfaction. This position is based out of Stayner, Ontario. This position is for the afternoon shift (4:30 PM to 1:00 AM).

Requirements

  • High school certificate.
  • Computer literacy to include knowledge of Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Visio and Excel and other be applications
  • Problem Solving, time management and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work alone and in a team setting

Nice To Haves

  • Post-Secondary Education in related field preferred
  • Experience working in quality control/lab and utilizing scientific equipment not required but valued

Responsibilities

  • Internal QC testing and verification using appropriate testing equipment.
  • Provide detailed reporting of checks for decision making.
  • Support the development and execution of In Process QC Testing and Inspections.
  • Verification, certification and documentation of plant processes, equipment and activities.
  • Participate in problem solving and troubleshooting initiatives.
  • Completing and preparing appropriate documentation as required i.e. reports, authoring SOPs, Work Instructions, batch records.
