SPARC Services and Programs is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This is a remote position within the states that we currently serve (NC, AR, VA). The Quality Assurance Specialist will support the VP of Compliance in all areas of quality and compliance, both clinically and operationally. The role involves assisting with program development, policy implementation, credentialing, accreditation, and ensuring program fidelity. The specialist will provide consultative support to Program Supervisors, enhance staff knowledge of regulations, and collaborate on training needs and EHR enhancements. A key focus is supporting and ensuring the quality of services provided, including EHR functionality, NC HIE Management & Reporting, and NC Topps Management & Reporting. The role also involves responding to client concerns, conducting record audits, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and facilitating training events. The specialist will participate in the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process, LME/MCO’s Global Continuous Quality Improvement Committees, and other quality committees. Responsibilities include ensuring quality services, displaying cultural competence, completing documentation, supporting policy development, participating in accreditation reviews, conducting internal audits, reviewing data for reports and surveys, and supporting external reviews and regulatory site visits. The role also involves managing serious incident reports, participating in mandated trainings, monitoring service definitions, and supporting quality review activities related to IT platforms. Regular communication with the VP of Compliance regarding compliance needs and participation in community collaboratives are also expected. Other duties may be assigned by the CCO and Owner.
