Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of office experience.
  • Good organizational and communication skills (verbal/telephone/written).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel.
  • Ability to work with a variety of people and situations.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and establish priorities.
  • Pass agency paid criminal justice screening including fingerprints.
  • Pass agency paid TB (Tuberculosis) screening.
  • Pass agency paid health screening and/or drug testing, if required.
  • Valid California Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance coverage.
  • Pass agency paid MVR clearance with no more than 2 points - if you are under the age of 25 our insurance company will not allow any points.
  • Represent the agency in a professional and competent manner.
  • Advocate for the best interests of the agency and clients we serve.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, co-workers, clients, supervisors and members of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds regardless of race, color, creed, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, ancestry, political affiliation, citizenship, disability, medical conditions, marital status, amnesty and military or veteran status.

Responsibilities

  • Data Entry of paperwork into BHRS and CHS electronic health record.
  • Notification of difficulties encountered in data collection and completeness of documentation.
  • Process Behavioral Health surveys and incoming/outgoing transfers.
  • Responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of Behavioral Health program assignment and master logs.
  • Ensure integrity of all counseling services database and tracking systems including the collection and entry of language, referral and various other statistics as required by the program.
  • Complete clearing process and schedule incoming referrals for various Behavioral Health programs.
  • Prepare and distribute reports as required.
  • Process and mail letters (PCP, NOABD…)
  • Receive, log and monitor fulfillment of Request for Records
  • Make copies, scan, file and distribute incoming faxes as necessary.
  • Receiving and processing calls from other agencies.
  • Provide support to Psychiatrist and schedule appointments as required.
  • Verify Medi-Cal eligibility.
  • Audit charts and verify corrections.
  • Transport charts/mail as necessary.
  • Assist in providing training for new Behavioral Health staff.
  • Process chart requests/maintain charts on site.
  • Develops, recommends, implements and updates program policies and procedures (as needed).
  • Provide Administrative support as required.
  • Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned.
