About The Position

The Quality Assurance RN at Providence Medford Medical Center is a 1.0 FTE full-time position working weekdays and weekends on a day shift. This role provides assessment, evaluation, and support for all quality initiatives within PHS Oregon. The position involves concurrent and retrospective support for initiatives to comply with requirements from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid, The Joint Commission (TJC), administrative and program personnel, and third-party payors. The RN will actively collaborate with physician leadership, Directors, and Managers in developing and implementing quality efforts, including preparation, risk monitoring and reduction in clinical and non-clinical systems, and coordination of multidisciplinary quality improvement projects. This role also acts as a facilitator and mentor for Department teams related to performance improvement, authorizes and makes decisions on recommendations and innovative solutions, and serves as a resource and consultant for Quality Improvement activities and Professional Staff quality and peer review activities. Additionally, the RN will assist in the development and performance of educational activities related to Quality Improvement, Accreditation requirements, and Resource Utilization. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License
• 5 years of Clinical experience.
• 5 years of Hospital experience in a progressively responsible position(s) requiring contact with various departments.
• Demonstrated clinical experience related to a wide variety of patient populations and care delivery models.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with physicians, nursing, public, and all levels of hospital management.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in nursing, Public Health, Business, Healthcare or Business Administration.
• Adult medical surgical experience.
