About The Position

CEDA is currently looking to hire a Field Quality Assurance Inspector for our Bonnyville Alberta region for turnaround work. This work is anticipated to start August 14 and end August 25, with the potential change. Our client is located outside of conklin and the duration of the project will have candidates stay in camp. Reliable transportation to site is required. This role is open to Direct Service Providers.

Requirements

CWB level 2 certification is preferred (will accept a Level 1 with solid experience)
Valid Class 5 licence with clean abstract
Ability to navigate computer programs such as Blue Beam and Microsoft suite of products including Word and Excel
Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, booked by CEDA
Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
Ability to work with limited supervision, in a team environment
Strong organization, prioritization, and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail

Responsibilities

Field Quality Inspection & Surveillance: Assist in supporting field inspections for pressure equipment, piping, and structural components during construction.
Support the review and validation of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Control (QC) packages, and turnover documentation for field activities.
Witness hydrotests, baseline inspections, and installation activities as delegated by senior inspectors.
Participate in field audits to verify compliance with Client’s Quality Management System (QMS).
Documentation & Reporting: Compile inspection records, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and data sheets for review by senior QA staff.
Confirm accurate documentation is in place and in accordance with company practices and regulatory requirements.
Project Support: Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors to ensure timely completion of QA activities in the field.
Communicate inspection findings and recommendations to stakeholders, escalating issues as needed.
Support the implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives related to field construction.
