About The Position

The Inspector is responsible for validating process adherence on both the component and subsequent paperwork to the work instructions and all relevant specifications. This role performs tasks such as dimensional inspection, visual inspection, and generates C of C in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications. The Inspector also performs routine preventative maintenance on all machines and other routine labor work as required in accordance with production flow. The Inspector prepares necessary quality documents and confirms the quality of their own work using inspection tools in accordance with product specifications, drawings, and work instructions. The Inspector is expected to adhere to all 5s / CPEX policies and to have a continuous improvement mindset.

Requirements

  • Must have HS Diploma or GED.
  • Strong shop mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions required.
  • Must be able to follow instructions, read and interpret blue prints.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Employed in current position at least 1 year (12 months).
  • Written confirmation of acceptable performance record/evaluation signed by the employee's supervisor and completed no more than 18 months prior to date of transfer application.
  • Maintain an acceptable level of performance including but not limited to absence of corrective action and/or resolution of previous corrective action.
  • Successfully pass any special screening processes required for the position of interest, including but not limited to background investigations, drug screens, and skills assessments.
  • A transferred employee may be subject to additional background screening as required by the position.
  • US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) may be considered for this role.

  • On the job experience of 3-5 years in manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks such as dimensional inspection, visual inspection, generate C of C in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications.
  • May perform tasks such as chemical testing, assembly, disassembly, vibratory tumble, blending, peen, grit blast, masking/prep, vane install and operate CMM in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications.
  • Performs all work in accordance with plant safety rules and maintains highest quality standards in the execution of all assigned work.
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance on all machines and other routine labor work as required in accordance with production flow.
  • Prepares necessary quality documents and confirms quality of own work using inspection tools in accordance with product specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Adhere to all 5s / CPEX policies and to have a continuous improvement mindset.
