About The Position
The Inspector is responsible for validating process adherence on both the component and subsequent paperwork to the work instructions and all relevant specifications. This role involves performing various inspection tasks, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. The position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to interpret technical documents.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- Strong shop mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- 3-5 years of on-the-job experience in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections.
- Generate Certificates of Conformance (C of C) in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications.
- May perform tasks such as chemical testing, assembly, disassembly, vibratory tumble, blending, peen, grit blast, masking/prep, vane install.
- Operate CMM in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications.
- Perform all work in accordance with plant safety rules and maintain highest quality standards.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all machines and other routine labor work as required.
- Prepare necessary quality documents.
- Confirm quality of own work using inspection tools in accordance with product specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
- Adhere to all 5s / CPEX policies and maintain a continuous improvement mindset.
