The Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector, Jr-Mid will be responsible for conducting visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products. This role involves performing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), and managing incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections and documentation. The inspector will also verify the accuracy of labeling, packaging, and documentation for compliance with requirements. A key part of the role includes detailed inspections of electro-mechanical assemblies, wiring harnesses, circuit boards, and integrated components to ensure compliance with technical drawings and workmanship standards. The position requires establishing and maintaining rigorous quality standards for electro-mechanical products and components, and reading/interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation. Additionally, the inspector will perform assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs) using surface mount (SMT) and through-hole techniques, and examine, test, and operate assembled components to verify functionality. This role supports the Deputy Director of Quality (DDQ) in ensuring adherence to various Military Standards (MIL-STD) and internal Work Instructions (WI), and reviews submitted documentation for quality tracking in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001:2015 standards. The inspector will also assist with soldering standards, electrostatic discharge (ESD) safety practices, 5S/Foreign Object Debris (FOD) program management, and compliance with ITAR, CMMC, and OSHA regulations. Administrative tasks include filing QA Inspector-related O365 QMS Mailbox materials and SharePoint (SP) location utilization. The role requires the use of precision inspection tools such as Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM), calipers, gauges, micrometers, and multimeters. The inspector will investigate and document defects, collaborate on corrective actions, participate in audits, and provide input on quality considerations during design and production reviews. Accurate record-keeping for PFMEAs and Control Plans is essential. Other duties as assigned.
