About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to establish, mature, and sustain a formal QA function supporting Power BI reports, dashboards, data models, and analytics solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring reporting solutions are accurate, reliable, traceable, auditable, and suitable for business use. This role involves developing and implementing QA standards, methodologies, templates, quality gates, and release governance processes while working closely with business stakeholders, developers, and data teams to support operational decision-making, regulatory compliance, resource planning, and performance management.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of data validation and testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and data querying.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts including semantic models, relationships, and measures.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Experience validating data from SQL Server databases, ETL pipelines, semantic models, and Power BI reports.
• Knowledge of data profiling and data quality assessment techniques.
• Understanding of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for validating measures and calculations.
• Strong knowledge of Star Schema and Snowflake Schema design principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify data inconsistencies and anomalies.
• Ability to evaluate downstream impacts of changes to data models and reporting solutions.
• Structured and methodical approach to testing and validation activities.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Root cause analysis and risk assessment capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into measurable QA criteria and validation processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
• Experience presenting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive business information.

• Experience with Power Query (M).
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with test automation and data validation scripting.
• Experience supporting enterprise analytics or business intelligence environments.
