Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst – Customer Experience POD

American FinancingAurora, CO
$65,000 - $75,000Hybrid

About The Position

We are looking for a proactive, growth-minded QA Analyst to embed within our cross-functional Customer Experience (CX) POD. In this role, you won’t just look for bugs—you will be the ultimate guardian of our product quality, user experience, and data integrity. The CX POD is responsible for building and maintaining our entire user-facing ecosystem—including our core website, post-login user experience, CRM, chat, and telephony touchpoints. As our QA champion, you will own technical and functional testing, manage test environments, investigate backend data, and ensure that user data is flawlessly captured and classified against every step in our marketing attribution funnel. You will partner closely with developers, marketers, and product managers to ensure we ship flawless, high-performance software that drives business growth.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience in software quality assurance required, ideally within a growth-focused product or marketing-tech environment.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and how web applications interact with APIs.
  • Proficiency in accessing and querying SQL and NoSQL databases to validate data integrity, manage test data, and verify backend results.
  • Comfort navigating Linux environments to analyze application logs.
  • Experience with a scripting language (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, etc.) in the context of debugging, log parsing, or test enhancement.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development workflows and modern test management/bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with testing web ecosystems, post-login user portals, and integrations with CRM or communication platforms is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Quality & Attribution Strategy: Review requirements, specifications, and technical designs to architect comprehensive test plans and scripts, balancing sharp exploratory manual testing with a structured approach to quality across the entire customer lifecycle.
  • Guard the Marketing Funnel: Validate web cookies, local storage, session states, JSON payloads, custom data layer objects, and cache behaviors to ensure data is appropriately captured and classified correctly at every stage of the marketing attribution funnel.
  • Own the Cross-Channel Experience: Build and perform Unit, Regression, and UAT testing cycles for web applications, post-login portals, and integrated customer touchpoints (CRM, chat, and telephony).
  • Validate the End-User Experience: Perform robust compatibility and responsive-design testing across diverse ecosystems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android) and modern browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox).
  • Manage the Release Lifecycle: Act as the strategic gatekeeper for Staging and QA environments. Track, analyze, and publish core testing KPIs (like defect densities and open defect counts) to ensure smooth, confident release cycles.
  • Deep-Dive Technical Debugging: Utilize Browser Developer Tools (Chrome DevTools, Safari Web Inspector, etc.) to inspect the DOM, evaluate network traffic, and dissect frontend errors. Validate API endpoints, headless endpoints, RESTful services, and webhook backend integrations using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • Ensure Data & Performance Integrity: Access and query SQL/NoSQL databases to verify data integrity, CRM syncing, and backend results. Assess website page-load performance, Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS), and responsiveness under various network conditions.
  • Investigate & Solve Problems: Navigate Linux server environments via the terminal to independently parse application logs, isolating root causes of complex defects and troubleshooting without requiring development support.
  • Accessibility & Environment Management: Conduct basic web accessibility compliance testing (WCAG 2.1, Section 508) using tools like Lighthouse or Axe. Designate test accounts across environments and manage access.
  • Support & Continuous Improvement: Collect user feedback on product reliability to integrate into testing workflows. Track, document, and manage bugs thoroughly, performing comprehensive regression testing when defects are resolved.
