About The Position

Carolina Meadows is seeking a Quality Assurance Nurse to serve as a clinical leader in its skilled nursing facility. The role combines responsibilities as Infection Preventionist, MDS Nurse, and QAPI Coordinator. The nurse champions person-directed care, promotes high-quality and dignified resident treatment, and ensures compliance with state and federal health regulations.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• 3–5 years of nursing experience in long-term care, including at least one year of supervisory experience.
• Infection Control Certification (required).
• Current CPR Certification (required).
• Proficiency in MDS computerized programs and standard office software.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Deep understanding of general nursing principles and state and federal health regulations.

Nice To Haves

• AANAC Certification must be completed within the first 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Chair the QAPI and Falls committees and develop data-driven initiatives for falls, wound care, and restorative programs.
• Lead the interdisciplinary team through the MDS process.
• Coordinate comprehensive RN assessments and ensure accurate, timely electronic submissions to state databases.
• Manage the infection prevention program, analyze health data, and educate healthcare staff in collaboration with the Staff Development Coordinator.
• Foster an environment that supports the six dimensions of wellness: physical, social, emotional, intellectual, vocational, and spiritual.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff, investigate care-related concerns, and act as a backup to the Nurse Navigator.
