About The Position

The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for leading the customer quality and supplier quality teams that supports the Arens Williams Business Unit. The incumbent will be responsible for all product related quality activities with a goal to maintain compliance with international, customer, and corporate standards.

Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience in an automotive manufacturing company
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and people management capability
  • Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional teams in process improvement initiatives
  • Experience with the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001:2000 and/or IATF 16949 applied to both manufacturing and product development.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, prioritize work, and operate with a sense of urgency.

Nice To Haves

  • Internal auditor credentials desired.
  • Power BI experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of quality engineers to provide both Customer and Supplier Quality support related to the Business Unit
  • Lead customer complaint investigations, including preparation of 8D reports and customer presentations
  • Manage internal and customer deviation requests
  • Manage Customer Regulatory Requests
  • Lead investigations on production issues related to finished goods and disposition material as necessary, including creating rework jobs and associated controls
  • Gate Review Deliverables
  • Preparation of Customer PPAPs
  • Ownership of Control Plans
  • ECN Review/Approval
  • Lead all Supplier issue investigations (SCARs), including identification of issues by analyzing QC Inspect, QA Pend, and HOLD data
  • Set Incoming Inspection requirements and populate Quality Cards in CSI
  • Manage Supplier Audit Program and Complete Supplier Audits as needed
  • Manage supplier deviation requests
  • Monitor supplier performance through supplier scorecards
  • Review and approval of components PPAPs
  • ECN Review/Approval
  • Develop and monitor KPIs relevant to departmental performance
  • Responsible for compliance to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA, ISO 14001, and Corporate Safety programs
  • Maintains close working relationships with departmental managers/supervisors to assure proper support of the quality systems at each location.
  • Provides guidance to and counsels employees.
