About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance, the Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for performing routine and complex administrative duties for the department supported.

Requirements

  • GED or high school diploma required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in a managerial capacity, working for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of the Council on Quality and Leadership and Person Centered Planning.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance mandates as determined by the DDA, Maryland Department of Education and other funding entities.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to communicate, listen and understand persons with autism, assisting them in advocating for their rights when requested.
  • Must possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse groups at all levels, including those with autism and other developmental disabilities, inside and outside the organization
  • Computer literacy required with a proficiency in standard business software applications (e.g. word processing, e-mail and spreadsheet).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a human services discipline (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, etc.) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with external agencies that interface regularly with departments/programs. Maintains a current knowledge of primary contacts at those agencies in order to conduct business.
  • Coordinate with other CSAAC Departments to complete Licensing applications for CSAAC and sites. Coordinate with outside agencies to complete licensing inspections.
  • Assist with ensuring timely submission of documents for review by Standing Committee. Monthly development of Standing Committee Agenda.
  • Daily review of Incident Reports and ABCs in CSAAC Information Management System (CIMS), to ensure appropriate incident reporting per the Policy on Reportable Incidents and Investigations (PORII).
  • Facilitate Fire Code Compliance inspections at Residential sites, including maintaining records, scheduling, communication with Managers and completion of inspections.
  • Facilitate completion of County Health inspections, including communication with Montgomery County DHHS and CSAAC departments.
  • Participate in QA Site reviews and communicate with Managers regarding findings to ensure proper compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain records and submit applications for CSAAC in Maryland Medicaid's online Electronic Provider Revalidation and Enrollment Portal (ePREP) or the new system Maryland Provider Registration and Information Management Enterprise (MPRIME).
  • Assist with documentation requests from outside agencies such as OHCQ, DDA, and Liberty Healthcare.
  • Assist with Incident investigation and reporting within the timeline per PORII within 24 hours of discovery or by the next business day to outside agencies as needed.
  • Promotes and practices strict privacy regulations, according to HIPPA privacy guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
