Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, scientific, or engineering field; or equivalent experience
  • 6-8 years of experience
  • 4+ years people leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities
  • Keep management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions being taken to improve the situation
  • Prepare and present technical and program information to the plant and corporate teams
  • Direct technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities
  • Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards and ensure plant processes adhere to all requirements
  • Evaluate Quality Management System (QMS) frequently to implement improvements to standard work processes and documentation
  • Participate on plant internal audit team to identify areas for development on existing QMAS
  • Collaborate with other manufacturing sites within business unit to ensure QMS and problem-solving activities are consistent across sites including communication of identified issues and problem resolution activities to ensure all sites have implemented solutions
  • Train, mentor, and lead Quality Engineers, ASME Inspectors, and Quality Technicians
  • Develop methods to inspect received raw materials, assure quality compliance during product assembly, and final product inspection
  • Collaborate with NPI Quality team to ensure Safe Launch activities are identified and implemented on all new product launches
  • Ability to lead cross-functional product and process improvement teams to improve overall plant quality and improve internal and external customer experience
  • Work with the team to identify true root cause and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • Review and summarize internal and external non-conformance information identifying trends in the data and assigning quality improvement projects to direct reports to provide internal and external customers with an unrivaled customer experience
